Final #1: The clock went from 3:59 to 4:00, the time my paper was due to be in my professor’s mailbox. In a moment of clarity that only comes with sleep deprivation and the adrenaline high of a deadline- procrastinated, I typed the following sentence: “Until then, I’m going to back to watching my novelas.”

To answer your question, yes, I hit print and turned that version in. Brilliance or stupidity? You tell me. 

Final #2: I opened my paper with a quote from the great Jon Bon Jovi: “they say that no man is an island.”… then I referred to “that other John (Donne)” later in my text.
